The latest changes in fluorine chemical export data!

China's fluorine chemical production accounts for 70% of the world's total share, refrigerants account for 80% of the world's share, and fluorine-containing polymers account for 60% of the world's share. Currently, fluorine chemical products are mainly net exports. From January to March, the import volume of fluorite powder is still eye-catching. The import growth of fluorite powder is mainly due to the increase in imports from Mongolia. In terms of exports, some single-refrigerant refrigerants and major export data show a downward trend. Specifically, the data of fluorite, hydrogen fluoride, aluminum fluoride, HCFC-22, HFC-32, HFC-125, HFC-134a, polytetrafluoroethylene, and other fluorine-containing polymers are as follows:

In terms of raw materials: From January to March this year, China exported 45,400 tons of fluorite (≤97% content), down 0.6% year-on-year; 11,600 tons of fluorite (>97% content), down 79.5% year-on-year. In 2024, fluorite imports continued to hit a record high, with a total import of 267,600 tons, of which Mongolia imported 237,800 tons, accounting for 88.86%, mainly low-grade block ore.

Basic chemical industry: From January to March, China exported 57,000 tons of hydrogen fluoride, a year-on-year decrease of 4.1%; aluminum fluoride exports were 21,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%.

In terms of refrigerants: From January to March, HCFC-22 exported 12,500 tons, a year-on-year ↓26.2%; HFC-32 exported 8,500 tons, a year-on-year ↓18.2%; HFC-125 exported 2,700 tons, a year-on-year ↓44.8%; HFC- 134a exported 2,700 tons, 10.3% year-on-year.

In terms of fluoropolymers: From January to March, the export volume of PTFE was 8,500 tons, a year-on-year ↑10.7%, and the export volume of other fluoropolymers was 7,800 tons, a year-on-year ↓14.5%.
